Last night's events

As you will know if you read the last post, last night we managed to catch the GHOSTY who'd been folowing us. Or to be more precise, the kid.
Well, after informing you of the discovery, I attempted to get inside her head. I managed to work out her name was Mary, but then she put up a forcefield thing again. Emily got through it and told her to stop it.
"The less you struggle, the less this will hurt. We just need to know if we can trust you or not. Okay?"
This Mary kid didn't seem that stupid, so she stopped trying to block me.
I managed to pick up all i needed- she was one of us, and she was running away from the government too.
I let her go.
"She's clean. She's called Mary."
Everyone relaxed slightly. We'd solved two of our problems- the GHOSTY and the possibility of this kid being a Government spy.
There was a growling behid us. It was the squirrel.
"Do squirrels make that noise?" I heard Matt say, nervously, as Scarlet reached for her frying pan.
He was answered when the squirrel leapt for us. Well, for me.
Suddenly it wasn't a squirrel any more. It was a very heavy dog, and it was holding onto my arm. It really really hurt. The fangs were really sharp.
"Sarah! Stop it! They're on our side!"
I turned around, gritting my teeth. It was Mary.
"Couldn't you have said that BEFORE rabid mongrel chose to attack me!"
"Sorry. Really sorry. Who you calling a rabid mongrel?"
The dog had let go of my arm and was... turning into a human?
"So we have a shapeshifter and a fieldcaster. What else?" I heard Dan mutter. James answered him.
"I'm not sure even they know."

So, Mary and Sarah came up clean, but what happens if they're actually highly trained government agents? It sounds crazy, but then we're here, aren't we. I'm not sure about this whole thing and I honestly wish they'd never showed up. It complicates things so much.
At least now we're back in civilisation. We'd been camping out for a few days because the Shadows turned up nearby. We had to make a quick getaway.
